Home 4 sale in Kirkland, AZ

$49,900 Home 4 sale

Hi there. We've got a home for sale in Wilhoit, AZ. We've had it two years now and unfortunatlly just haven't had the tine to nake it into the 'dream house' that we had hoped to. We wanted to fix it up cute and possibly resell it or maybe keep it as a home to return to while traveling. So, if it sells, fine. If not, we'll still do that with it. What we have for sale is a fully liveable 1580 square foot house on two acres of landwith gorgeous mountain views all around us. (This is the main reason we bought it.) It was built in 1986. I think it was actually two cabins that eventually were connected together to make one home. I also think that the first owners took pride in their little home. You can still see where dirt was brought in to make cute raised floweer beds and where rose bushes and trees had been planted to add to the aviance. You can alsostill tell that any work done on this house was done ccarefully and with pride. Cool! Unfortuneatly, the second owner (i think ther's only been tow owners before us) did HIS own work on it. He seems to have felt just the opposite of the first owners, and you canalso see where he 'did his own' work. You can see stuff like the tape showing through the texture in the ceiling. He picked some off colors of paint too. O r someone did. He didn't keep up the outside at all including the outside of the house which needs a good paint job, nor the yard. Stuff like that. Pretty much, anything that this guy (or whoever) did, was a half-ass job. So, alittle bit of info about the house. We bought it as a foreclosure. We were told that it had sat empty for a year or so. As I said , it sits on two acred. The house itself sits up, so you have a view of the houses scattered around below, and they all have two or more acres, so there's land between homes, which also makes for a better view. This house has two water tanks that were junctioned together the same as the house was. It's either 1500 or 2000 gals. I can't remember for sure. You can have your water delivered any tine and as often as you like. We have water delivered monthly for $26.00, that's not a bad price, and we have never run out. The water company is just down the road, along with a small general store, a church, a firehouse, a library, and a bar. It has it's septic. It's got two bedrooms and a smaller room that could be made into another room. We use it as a computer room. Both of the 'cabins' connecting together are the same size. One has a half bath, twobedrooms, and the other room that's our computer room. As I mentioned, there's a room connectingthe two 'cabins'. We call this our 'mud room' as this room has a big window on each of the two walls, and an outside door. This would be ouir main door where we would take off our shoes and coats when we came in. (That's if we stay here and work on it.) It's kindof a neat room and well lit from the sun. Perfect for indoor plants. The other side of the house has a large living room, bath, dinning area that's open to the living room. The kitchen was added on I guess when they combined the tow 'cabins'. It's fairly good sized but could use some work. This is also wwhere the washer and dryer sit with plenty of room for the both of them. It was a nice surprise to find the house insulated so well. We also had the attic spray-insulated. Having done that made it go from good to excellent. Windows are large but older and do leak. We have unwanted materials from construction jobs that we've saved that will really make a huge difference in looks and condition. We've got a nice sized window, a sliding glass door, another beautiful exterior door, and two other exterior doors. All doors and windows have never been installed. The floors are all tiled except for some reason one bedroom and the computer room were left concret. We have the tiles to cover both floors. We use this wionderful wood stove that came with the place for heat in the winter, and I also have a pellet stove that I brought with us. There's a fence around three quarters of the place that would keep in smaller and maybe mid sized dogs. If your dog is an escape artist, it definitely can be done with this fence. Wilhoit is a small town on route 89 that tkes you into Prescott or Wickenburg, depending on the direction you're heading. As you drive the 16 or so miles to Prescott on what's called the White Spars Road, you'll have anazing views of the Prescott Nataional Forest that you'd be living on the edge of. This location is in between the heat of Phoenix, and the cold of Flagstaff. You'll get a dusting of snow here that melts off during the dday. You're winter days are some where in the late 40s, 50s, and 60s. Summers are warm but nowhere near Phoenixes temps. What I think is so nice, is that we can drive an hour and a half south and be in warmth., or we can drive an hour and a half north and enjoy snow and skiing. You can't go wrong with those oppsions. There's also alot of trails for atving and horseback riding. We know times are tuff these days, so we've made the decision to carry the note for someone who's qualified and truely interested, with a minimum of $20,000 down. We would prefer $25,000-$30,000.If a person is willing to put some time and some money into this place, I think they'd have themselves a really nice home with taxes that have so far run between $800 $ $900. I put in this picture of a very rare winter storm we had this last march I think it was. Although few enjoyed it, being from Minnesota, I thought it was GREAT to have a two day blizzard! Yeah! But anyhoo, I put this pic in hoping it would give an idea of the views we have here. Thanks for lookin, Sally P.S. Try if you can to imagine the pics without all our stuff in them, and I do have more pics if you're interested.[removed phone], or [removed phone].
